Air Serbia has picked up its fourth ATR 72-600, registered as YU-AZL, the regional aviation portal Zamaaero reports.

It is said that the airplane is nine years old and that it flew for Air Arann, Air Lingus Regional and Stobart Air.

The plane hasn’t flown since July last year, namely, 15 months.

The portal also writes that, in November, the fifth ATR 72-600 (YU-ASA, 8-9 years old, from the same stock) will join the fleet, following which two ATR 72-200 aircraft which are over 32 years old will be removed from the fleet, although there is a possibility that they will be turned into cargo planes.

– Whatever the case may be, the passenger fleet of Air Serbia will now have 6 ATRs – 5 ATR 72-600 planes and one ATR 72-500 – it is concluded in the article signed by the aviation analyst Alen Scuric.

As announced earlier, Air Serbia will use ATR 72-600 aircraft for regional flights on the regular lines from Belgrade to Banjaluka, Bari, Vienna, Bucharest, Bologna, Ljubljana, Podgorica, Prague, Salzburg, Sarajevo, Skopje, Sofia, Thessaloniki, Tivat, Tirana, Trieste and Zagreb, as well as on the seasonal lines to Dubrovnik, Pula, Split, Rijeka and Zadar.
