RARIS Presents Investment Potentials to Serbian Diaspora in Vienna

The first Investment and Business Conference for the Diaspora was held in Vienna, aiming to incite investments of the Serbian business diaspora in Austria toward Serbia. The conference gathered around 140 representatives of the diaspora, the business community of Serbian fellow citizens in Austria, as well as institutions from Austria and Serbia, as announced in the press release of the Regional Development Agency Eastern Serbia (RARIS).

At the conference, RARIS presented the investment potentials of eastern Serbia and gave more detailed information about the possibilities of investing in eastern Serbia to all those interested.

RARIS runs the Regional Investment Portal of Eastern Serbia “Invest East Serbia”, which, at the moment, presents 52 various investment possibilities, locations and projects, in three languages: Serbia, English and German.

The conference enabled business people from the diaspora to learn about new mechanisms of cooperation with the Serbian economy – “The Business Atlas of Serbia and the Diaspora” and “The Business Hub for the Diaspora”.

The conference was organized by the project Link Up! Serbia II and the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (CCIS).

RARIS also runs the digital platform Diaspora Business Info – RARIS. This platform is meant for the diaspora that wants to start operating in or doing business with eastern Serbia. The platform consists of a web portal with a multitude of useful information: https://www.raris.org/index.php/dijaspora-biznis-info, an eponymous Viber community and a Facebook group.
