Top 50 Fruska Gora Wines Selected

This year as well, the rating and the selection of the TOP 50 wines of Fruska Gora were held. The winemakers of the Fruska Gora winemaking area had sent over 150 wine samples to be rated at an event which had been established the previous year. Of all the rated wines, the fifty which had received the highest grades were awarded the TOP 50 Fruska Gora 2022 medals, which will be featured on the bottles, as a guide and guarantee for consumers to buy wines of proven quality, which properly represent Fruska Gora. According to the rules established last year, this is a unique contest where there are no winners or a ranking list. Instead, all 50 top rated wines are treated equally, as reported by the Vino & Fino website.

According to the jury, wines from Fruska Gora displayed the expected quality: Most were very good, which proves that the winemakers from that area know their job very well – says the Association of Winemakers and Viticulturists Srem – Fruska Gora. What’s especially encouraging is that there are more and more new names and small wineries which are only just starting, but are already making good wines, which can be seen from the labels, which made it to the top 50.

The medals will be handed over to the winemakers at the Fruska Gora Wine Show event, planned for the end of September at Villa Stankovic in Cortanovci.
