Matic: FX Inflow from Tourism in First 6 Months of 2022 Amounts to EUR 969 Million

The FX inflow from tourism in the first six months of 2022 is EUR 969 million, which is an increase of 57.9% compared to the same period in 2021 and an increase of 72.4% compared to the very successful tourism season of 2019, when tourism revenues in the same period amounted to EUR 562 million, said the minister of trade, tourism and telecommunications of Serbia, Tatjana Matic.

As Matic explained, “this kind of an increase in the FX inflow from tourism is a huge success and a firm indicator of the recovery of tourism in Serbia”, it is said on the ministry’s website.

– What’s more, Serbian tourism is going through an expansion, breaking records, and I am sure that it will considerably raise the GDP and contribute to the overall economic growth of our country. Incentive measures and investments by the competent Ministry of Tourism also contributed a lot to this success – she pointed out.
