According to the technical specification of the job, the intention of the PUC Belgrade Power Plants, in line with the European tendencies toward creating a new generation of central heating systems without CO2 emissions, as well as the energy situation in the world, is to save as much as possible on the consumption of the main energy sources in the coming period – natural gas and liquid fuel, electrical energy and raw and technological water, that is, to make the operations of the facilities and the distribution network as efficient and profitable as possible.
It is added that, within the projects of rehabilitation and reconstruction of the heating sources and the heat pipeline network, all the bigger heating plants and boiler rooms have been reconstructed to the end of a more secure and economical production and distribution of heating energy, whereby the pre-conditions have been met for the beginning of including renewable energy sources (RES), especially geothermal energy, in the central heating system.
The main goals in the preparation of the study are the execution of detailed geothermal explorations in the selected locations of heating plants in Belgrade, the estimate of geothermal potentials, the selection of a pilot area for further explorations in the sense of exploitation of geothermal resources, the quantification of geothermal resources and looking into the possibilities of being included in central heating systems and determining the feasibility of the use of geothermal resources in the technical and financial senses for each of the locations.
The location selected for explorations are a total of 18 heating plants (TO) and boiler rooms (KO) in Belgrade – TO "Novi Beograd", TO "Dunav", TO "Miljakovac", TO "Mirijevo", TO "Banovo Brdo", TO "Cerak", TO "Voždovac", TO "Medaković", TO "Višnjička Banja", TO "Konjarnik", TO "Borča", TO "Batajnica", KO "Resnik", KO "Barajevo", KO "Sremčica", TO "Mladenovac", KO "Železnik", KO EI "Zemun Polje".
It is pointed out that the explorations need to be done for the projected depths of up to 5,000 meters and temperatures up to 150 degrees Celsius.
The job is worth RSD 30 million, and the tender expires on August 24. More details can be HERE.
Investments in five heating areas planned too
The PUC Belgrade Power Plants has published another tender – for the preparation of the technical documentation for investment projects.
The tender says that documentation needs to be prepared for heating plants and boiler rooms in five heating areas – New Belgrade, the Danube, Cerak, Vozdovac and Konjarnik.
The value and the expiration date of the tender are the same as in the previous procurement procedure.
