The Ministry of Economy announces the signing of an investment contract worth EUR 320 million - Reinvestments "cause for joy"

The Ministry of Economy supports new investments by both domestic and foreign investors by signing contracts which will provide investments worth around EUR 320 million and 2,500 new jobs for citizens throughout Serbia - the official website states.

Minister of Economy Andjelka Atanaskovic stated that the Ministry pays special attention to reinvestments, because "new investments by the same companies represent confirmation of the stability of the investment environment".

By mid-August, nine new contracts will be signed, namely, with companies:

- ZF Pancevo (expansion of the production program of electronic equipment for motor vehicles at the existing location in Pancevo);

- ZF Pancevo (service center in Novi Sad);

- Shenchi Automotive (construction of a production facility for the manufacture of parts for motor vehicles in Kragujevac);

- Stax Technologies (production of general purpose machines and appliances in Cacak);

- Pons (automation of the frozen pastry production process in Cacak);

- Ecomex (construction of a production facility for the manufacture of roasted coffee in Stara Pazova);

- Swisslion Takovo (automation of existing capacities for the production of chocolate, biscuits and biscuits in Vrsac);

- Moka (automation of the plant for the preparation and production of dough, bread and cakes in Čačak);

- Gorenje (expansion of the production plant for the manufacture of refrigerators in Valjevo).


In cooperation with the Ministry of Economy, Gorenje initiates its seventh investment. By expanding the production facility in Valjevo, Gorenje will invest EUR 47 million by the end of 2024 and employ 1,020 new workers by the end of 2025.

ZF Serbia invests in Serbia for the fourth time. This company will create 589 new jobs in Pancevo by the end of 2027 and invest EUR 238 million, whereas the investment project in Novi Sad will employ 370 workers and invest over EUR 6.7 million by the end of 2025.


With its second investment in Serbia, Swisslion Takovo will complete the automation of existing production capacities in Vrsac by the end of 2022 and invest EUR 1.6 million.

By the end of 2026, Shenchi Automotive Parts in Kragujevac will invest EUR 7.9 million and employ 127 new workers.

By the end of 2024, Stax Technologies Konjevici will invest EUR 10.4 million and hire 300 new workers by building a new plant in Cacak.

Moka Cacak will invest EUR 2.2 million in Cacak by the end of next year, while the Pons bakery will invest EUR 1.4 million.

By the end of next year, Ecomex will create 30 new jobs in the municipality of Stara Pazova and invest EUR 4.8 million in the production facility.

By late August, new contracts will be signed with four investors, with whom negotiations have already been successfully completed. These contracts relate to the food industry (Belt, Neoplanta, Dijamant), as well as the automation of the pharmaceuticals production.
