The NBS is preparing a set of measures related to fees, with the goal of protecting the citizens' standard of living

The National Bank of Serbia has announced the adoption of measures to protect citizens' standards in relation to bank fees.

- Bearing in mind the decisions/announcements of certain banks to increase fees for certain services related to payment accounts, the NBS informs the public that it is working on adopting a set of measures and regulations in order to protect the standard of living of the citizens of Serbia. The measures will be adopted at the first regular session of the Executive Board of the NBS, which will be held on August 11 - announced the Cabinet of the Governor of the Central Bank.

The National Bank of Serbia reiterated that it expects banks in Serbia to implement a sustainable and responsible business policy, based on the principles of healthy competition, which includes the improvement of deposit operations and the preservation, or increase, of the base of depositors and clients.
