Belgrade to Present Stabilization Plan by August-End in Response to Energy and Economic Situation

By the end of August, the City of Belgrade will examine the situation and come out with the Plan of Stabilization of the City of Belgrade, so that the citizens of Belgrade would be ready for the upcoming winter, the mayor of Belgrade, Aleksandar Sapic, announced on TV Happy.

He pointed out that the announced Stabilization Plan would be put before the members of the City Assembly of Belgrade in late August or early September, with the aim of adapting the capital of Serbia to the new energy and economic crisis in the world.

– We are visiting urban and suburban municipalities, city public enterprises and secretariats in order to adapt to the new circumstances that no one could count on, especially at the time when the budget was being prepared at the end of last year. The world has changed since the conflict in Ukraine began, whereas now, all state institutions, including the City of Belgrade, are looking how to adapt to the new situations, all to the end of having citizens be affected by the consequences of the energy and economic crisis in the world as little as possible – said the mayor. According to him, the most important thing is for the City of Belgrade to meet the coming autumn and winter ready.

– We will see to it that our priorities are adapted in the coming period, while not giving up on capital projects for the development of the Serbian capital. We will follow the situation in Europe and the world and try to adapt the whole city system in line with that and to have it at the service of the citizens. This means that we should have our homes, schools and kindergartens warm during the winter, that our city enterprises should function and for the municipal order to be at an enviable level – said the mayor of Belgrade.
