Document on Efficient Maintenance of River Transport Infrastructure of the Danube and Its Tributaries Signed on the Rhone

A document on efficient maintenance of river transport infrastructure of the Danube and its tributaries was signed in Lyon, the city on the rivers Rhone and Saone, by the minister of construction, transport and infrastructure of Serbia, Tomislav Momirovic, with ministers of transport of countries of the Danube River basin.

– We have clearly defined our mission and vision, to be one of the leading nations again when it comes to the participation of water transport in the total volume of transport – Momirovic said and added that Serbia was committed to the development of navigation on the Danube.

He added that “this important agreement shows the readiness of us all, as countries of the Danube River basin, to take concrete steps to the end of its sustainable management and use for transportation purposes”.

Momirovic had the opportunity to learn about innovative solutions when it comes to transport and mobility at the ministers’ meeting, all to the end of fulfilling the ambitious green transformation plans.
