The president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said last night that the decision to terminate the cooperation with Rio Tinto had been wrong and that Jadar would otherwise have been the most developed part of Serbia.

– It would be the most developed part of Serbia, but I can’t see how it can be changed now – Vucic said on RTS.

According to him, he would not have made the decision to terminate the cooperation, but he understood the decision of the prime minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabic.

According to him, without RTB Bor “the east of Serbia would not exist”.

– Copper has led to the fact that the salary in Bor is EUR 787. And without coal, we would not have electricity in this TV studio – Vucic said and added that Serbia would have enough copper and coal.

He announced that the state would invest a lot of money into ecology.
