Srpska Banka plans to turn profit of 150 million dinars in 2010

Srpska Banka has announced the plan for the second half of the year, according to which it expects to turn the profit of 150 million dinars for the whole year, although the results achieved in the first half of the year were quite bad. During the first six months, this banking institution, of which majority owner is the state, exceeded the business revenue plan by 4.2%, but its net result was minus 100.4m dinars, although the projected profit amounted to 80 million dinars.
According to the plan of the bank's officials, the assets should reach the value of 15.57 billion dinars on the last day of 2010, which would represent the growth of 31.2% on annual basis. At the end of the sixth month, Srpska Banka had the assets worth 13.55 billion dinars and its share in the domestic banking market amounted to 0.6%.
The Republic of Serbia's has 96.5% share in this bank. Although there have been some serious speculations that this banking institution may be a part of the fusion of Postal Savings Bank and Privredna Banka Pancevo, that has not happened.
