Milorad Grcic has been relieved of the duty of the acting director of the public enterprise Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS). The decision was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia, Blic reports.

Grcic resigned on January 12 through a letter sent to the Government of Serbia.

The resignation followed several major malfunctions at EPS.

EPS announced earlier that it was being examined what had happened and what had caused the fire at a machine at the Tamnava Zapadno Polje mine and added that criminal charges had been filed regarding the other cases of major malfunctions.
