Mihajlovic pointed out that considerable funds had also been set aside for the upgrade of the high-voltage and distribution network in Serbia.
– Over a month ago, we adopted a report at the Government about this and we expect the works on the construction of the gas pipeline to Prijepolje, which will be around 80 kilometers long, to begin at the end of February. EUR 40 million will be invested, and the estimates are that everything will be finished a year from then, but the works are sure to be completed in 2023 – Mihajlovic said.
She pointed to the fact that it takes several years to upgrade the high-voltage and distribution network, but that enough money had been set aside.
– The plan is to create the same conditions in the whole country when it comes to the supply of electrical energy, because there are problems in parts other than the country’s southwest. We have secured the money and, in the next two to three years, we will invest in the distribution network – she noted, as reported on the website of the Government of Serbia.
