Association of Online Workers: Government Lets Current Taxation Terms Remain Valid Until New Law is Adopted

The Government of Serbia has accepted the request of the Association of Online Workers for the current taxation terms to remain valid until the new law is adopted, the association announced.

– A meeting with representatives of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, at which the request of the association for the validity of the current taxation system to be extended until the new law is adopted, for at least a year, has just finished. The validity of the conditions from the Law on Amendments to the Law on Personal Income Tax, which was adopted in May 2021, ends on December 31, so it was of great importance for the new law, which is to be implemented on January 1, to feature the same terms – they say in an announcement on the association’s official Facebook page.

As they add, the government will propose an amendment which extends the validity of the existing terms for the next year at the next session, to be held on Thursday. The new amendments to the Law on Personal Income Tax are expected to be adopted at the National Assembly next week.
