With the construction of this factory, Ivancic i Sinovi and its strategic partner Sopharma from Bulgaria plan to expand the existing capacities of primary and secondary packing, build a new control laboratory, as well as storage, accompanying and administrative premises. In addition, reconstruction of the infrastructure systems for electric power supply in local community Stari Banovci, gas installations and waste water drainage system is also in the pipeline.
The general contractor in the first phase is Belgrade-based Elkoms, while the subcontractor for construction works is Udarnik Gradnja from Belgrade. The project documentation has been prepared by Energoprojekt-Industrija in association with Dren Farma.
- Upon the completion of the first phase, nominal annual capacity of the factory of solid pharmaceutical products will amount to approximately 40m bags, 22m blisters, and 50,000 multidose packs of powders or granules. Expressed in final products, nominal annual capacity will amount to 12m packs of tablets and capsules and 10m packs of bags - says Stepic.
Stepic points out that, in addition to the existing assortment of about 30 products, another 10 new preparations are planned to be introduced in the following period.
In the second phase of the project realization, a new primary production unit will be built, along with the storage space for raw materials, packaging materials and ready-made products. Total surface of that facility will be about 3,000 square meters. Ivancic i Sinovi plans to have these facilities built in 2012. Production growth will also lead to employment of 60 new workers.
The factory's projected annual capacity, after the second phase of construction, is 400m tablets, 70m capsules, and 50,000 multidose packs of powders or granules.
Ready-made products from the new factory of Ivancic i Sinovi are partially intended for domestic market and partially for export to the surrounding countries, as well as Russia, Ukraine, and other republics of former Soviet Union.
