EU approved €1.4m to Fund for Regional Social-Economic Development of regions of Šumadija and Pomoravlje


Of €4.2m European Union approved to Fund for Regional Social-Economic Development for regions in Serbia, Šumadija and Pomoravlje will obtain €1.4m and that money should be used for co-financing of projects within next year.
The Fund will approve amounts of up to € 25,000 for implementation of priority projects in central Serbia, such as food processing, tourism, production and information technologies. Program of European Union will be conducted in Kragujevac and in Municipalities of Arandjelovac, Batočina, Knić, Lapovo, Rača, Topola, Despotovac, Jagodina, Paraćin, Rekovac, Svilajnac and Ćuprija.
The plan is that all applications should be submitted by partnership of at least two organizations, the main of which is application bearer and has to have headquarters in Serbia. In addition to this, it is obligatory that all organizations that participate in the project are non-profit organizations.
Applications can be submitted within two months, starting from February 8, 2005. It is expected that the realization of the projects commence in the middle of 2005. The deadline for completion of projects is 12 months.
