One of the Most Modern Sports Complexes, TSC “Arena”, Opens in Backa Topola

One of the most modern sports courts, TSC “Arena”, has opened in Backa Topola. Its construction began in 2017 and it features the central court of the TSC Football Academy.

The stadium was opened at an official ceremony by the president of the TSC football club, Janos Zemberi, together with former team captains of TSC and Ferencvaros, Istvan Kovacs and Tibor Nyilasi, who last played against each other in 1980.

They also kicked off the match symbolically named “A Hundred Years of Friendship”.

The stadium’s capacity is 4,500 spectators. A sum of EUR 10 million was invested in the construction of the Football Academy, without the stadium, and the entire investment will cost around EUR 15 million.

The chairman of the TSC football club, Szabolcs Palagyi, says that a match against the Vojvodina football club is expected to be played at this stadium in several weeks.

– We have developed players which play in various clubs in Europe and the world. I would like players to come to our club and be even better and then to play for even better clubs – Szabolcs Palagyi said.

He points out that the construction of the stadium is the apex of their efforts to build the club, which started back in 2005.

– I believe that, today, we’ve completed the story that is important for us and Serbian football – he concludes.
