Croatia Agrees Projects Worth Around EUR 13 Billion with EU Funds

This is 20% more than the amount of EUR 10.7 billion, which was awarded to Croatia for the period between 2014 and the end of 2022, Hina reports.
According to the ministry’s announcement, EUR 6 billion has been paid so far, comprising 55.93% of the allocated funds, and the payment of another EUR 5.12 billion, that is, 47.71% of the total available funds, has been confirmed.
The operating program Competition and Cohesion, it is added, has the best percentage of the contracting of fund allocation (129.36%), whereas the Program of Rural Development has the best percentage of paid funds (74.17%).
In the period between 2013 and July 1, 2021, the difference between the funds paid from the EU budget to the Croatian budget and the funds paid by Croatia to the European budget is 40.32 billion kunas (EUR 5.38 billion) in favor of the Croatian budget, Hina says.
