Cluster for nautical tourism of Serbia, Natus and Serbian Chamber of Commerce made a draft project for establishment of the info center for nautical tourism with info points on the Danube, so those who sail this river can get all the necessary information.

According to the President of the Group for the nautical economy, Borislav Vasic, the project is significant because115 tourist boats and 700-800 boats and yachts have passed our country through the Danube, in this year.

- They sail from Rotterdam to Constance, so it is necessary that have all services of nautical clubs and private marinas united into one system - he added.

It is planned to set up tables with information on pontoons on the river itself, so they could be approached by the boats, without having to exit to the coast. Tourists and other passengers on board will then be able to obtain important information about the conditions of navigation, water levels, weather, or gas stations, restaurants, hotels and mechanics to repair boats and engines. Also, they would be able to obtain legal information and a link with all the master offices in Serbia.

It is intended to have the Information Center connected to all services for emergency inteventions - emergency medical help, fire brigade, police and service of the rivers. It will also be connected to all nautical clubs and marinas in order to have timely information about available places for tying of boats, or their reservation.

The Center should have a complete equipment for communication - radio stations, internet, telephone lines and mobile phones, GPS network, and it is also in plan to have a web site with all info points and nautical network in Europe. The info center will be in Belgrade, and information points in Apatin, Novi Sad and Kladovo, each object will possess a speedboat for technical and service support. Vasic said that the realization of the project opened 30 new jobs and would be consistent with the development programs of local / regional governments.
