Fortenova Intends to Buy out All Mercator Shares

The Croatian Fortenova Group announced today in the Ljubljana-based daily Delo its intention to acquire the remaining Mercator shares.
With the transfer of the shares of the biggest Slovenian market chain from Agrokor in bankruptcy to Fortenova at the end of last week, the Croatian group acquired 88.10% of a total of 6,090,943 regular transferrable shares of a nominal value with voting rights, and the remaining shareholders of Mercator own 42,192 shares.
In line with the law, Fortenova has notified the Securities Agency, the Agency for Protection of Competition, the management of Mercator and representatives of the employees of Mercator and Fortenova of the intention to take over the shares, the Seebiz portal reports.
