Stricter Control of Imported Milk Quality Announced

The state will prevent each attempt of misuse regarding the quality of milk imported to Serbia, and the Ministry of Agriculture will continue providing support to milk producers this year as well when it comes to the procurement of robots and milk machines through a special line of subsidies, it was said at a meeting between Agriculture Minister Branislav Nedimovic and representatives of the Association of Livestock Farmers Becej.

It was pointed out that the hospitality sector, that is, hotels and restaurants, was expected to start working without obstacles not long after, so as to raise the demand for milk and dairy products again, which the coronavirus pandemic has reduced considerably.

– With the help of state incentives, cow-milking robots have been procured by more than 20 farms so far – Nedimovic said.
