The first laboratory in the Balkans for orthomolecular medicine has been opened in Belgrade. Samples of urine, blood or hair for biochemical tests, which discover origins of diseases, will be sent to analysis to America, Belgium and England.

New branch of medicine enables, let's say, discovery of 113 food allergens by the means of single blood sample.

Orthomolecular medicine is very expensive. Biochemical analysis of hair sample, by means of which the one can precisely determine condition of 35 minerals in the organism, costs about € 195. Allergy screen test costs € 560. This test discovers 113 food allergens and it is cheaper than sum of prices of separate allergen tests, each of which costs about 1,500 CSD in laboratories in Belgrade. Anti-aging program, which includes analyses of hormones, antioxidative stress, biochemical analyses and 10 oxygen treatments, the kind David Beckham has before every game, costs about € 800.
