A Play to Wake up Many – New Piece “Dream Pickers” to Premiere on March 11 at Zvezdara Theater

The Zvezdara Theater is bringing the long-awaited premiere of the “Dream Pickers” play to its March repertoire. The new piece is based on a script by Vladimir Đurđević and is directed by Bozidar Đurović. The premiere is scheduled for March 11, at 6.30 PM, on the “Danilo Bata Stojković” stage.

The story concerns the titular “pickers”, a village family trying to get rich growing raspberries. However, the raspberry cultivation business turns out to be nothing more than a smokescreen for much more important and complicated contemporary themes, told through interesting and humorous characters.

The cast consists of: Hadži Nenad Maričić as Zdravko, Biljana Đurović as Ivanka, Bojana Stojković as Anđela, Stefan Jevtović as Uroš, Siniša Ubović as Spasoje, Ivan Jevtović as Rašin and Joakim Tasić as Ćumur.

Geroslav Zarić is in charge of the scenography, and the costumes are designed by Marina Vukasović Medenica. The music is composed by Zoran Erić.

Following the premiere, performances of “Dream Pickers” are scheduled for March 12, 19 and 26.
