From February 10, viewing the cultural-historical highlights of the Belgrade Fortress and the Kalemegdan park is possible through 3D virtual tours as well.
Through computers or smart phones, at a single click on the JP Beogradska tvrdjava website, you can access a free two-hour virtual tour, in Serbian, English, German, Russian, Turkish, or Chinese.
Considering the needs of modern world trends and looking to make its remarkable features available to everyone interested, locally and globally, the Belgrade Fortress has realized the project of digitalization and multimedia presentation of the most important cultural monuments, which was presented to the media at the Nebojsa Tower yesterday.
– Now visitors will be able to remotely enjoy the cultural-historical heritage of invaluable importance, and the visitors taking a virtual tour will be able to learn about the details that they might not notice on their own or the information they were not familiar with previously – said Vesna Vlatkovic, an independent information associate of the Belgrade Fortress.

She pointed out that they had recognized new technologies as an asset, enabling those who had not been able to visit the location directly for whatever reason to do so.
– People who are dislocated or have some kind of a disability, as well as everyone who simply wants to visit the Belgrade Fortress and Kalemegdan from an armchair at any moment, are sure to be delighted with our virtual tour. It is quite certain that this will considerably increase the number of visitors and the visibility of Belgrade and Serbia on the tourist map of the world – Vlatkovic said.
The preparation of the whole project was entrusted to the Belgrade-based company Go2Tech. Goran Gajic, the owner of this company, explained that the content is available in a VR format on mobile platforms and that six VR movies have been made, presenting the most significant monuments.
