Project for First Phase of Construction of First Subway Line to be Completed by October – Route of 21 Kilometers with 21 Stations

The project for the first phase of the first line of the subway is expected to be over by October, Assistant Mayor of Belgrade Andreja Mladenovic said today.

He visited the route of the first line of the future subway with representatives of the PUE Beogradski metro i voz and the consortium for geological-geodetic works, consisting of Power China, Geodata and Egis Rail.

– We have gathered all the actors that will either participate or are already participating in the designing of the subway and the execution of the first and the basic geological explorations, among which are the companies that the memorandum was signed with, Egis, Power China and their associates from Italy, Geodata. The first line will be around 21 kilometers long and feature 21 stations, so that will be the most complex job in this area – Mladenovic said.

– Everything will be ready for the construction to begin in November, namely in Makisko Polje, that is, to start developing and preparing the terrain for the construction of a depot in this location. Our associates in this project have a lot of experience, which brings hope that all the technical tasks will be done within the deadline – he added.
