Biodegradable Styrofoam Best Technological Innovation in 2020

The winner of the contest “Best Technological Innovation in 2020” in the category “Realized Innovations” is the team “Soma” from Krusevac and Knjazevac, which made the biodegradable styrofoam “Bioportin”.

In the second place is the team “HelikoStop” with its innovation “HerbELIKO”, from Novi Sad, and the third spot belong to the team “Zanus” from Valjevo and their innovation “Innovative Production Robotics”, as said on the website of the Government of Serbia.

In the category “Innovative Ideas”, the award for the best student innovation was won by the team “Antikorozivni” for their invention “Production of Environmentally Friendly Anti-Corrosion Products for the Making of Industrial Coatings”, from the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy in Belgrade.

Also, in the category “Innovative Ideas”, the award for the best high-school team went to “Vah” from the “9. maj” Gymnasium in Nis, for their innovation “Virtual Analytic Chemistry”.

The contest is organized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of Serbia and realized by the Organizational Team from the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad and the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy in Belgrade.

The partners are the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (CCIS) and the Radio-Television of Serbia (RTS). The winner received an award of RSD 1,000,000, whereas the total prize fund amounted to RSD 6,000,000.
