Rail Car Models for Future Belgrade Subway Presented – Citizens to Choose Between Four Options

Serbia Finance Minister Sinisa Mali has published a photograph of the models of the rail cars of the future Belgrade Subway system, presented to the Serbian delegation by the French company Alstom. The citizens are to choose between these four models.

– The citizens will soon get to choose between these four models! Which one do you like the most? – says the description of the photo published by Mali.

The Serbian delegation met in France with representatives of Alstom, and the meeting was joined by Henri Poupart-Lafarge, the company’s CEO. Alstom will be a partner to the City of Belgrade and the Government of Serbia in the construction of the Belgrade Subway system.

According to yesterday’s announcement made by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, the construction of the first two lines of Belgrade Subway will be carried out simultaneously, and both should be completed by 2030.

Let us remind that, in January, the joint memorandum on the construction of the Belgrade Subway was signed between the Government of Serbia, the City of Belgrade, the Chinese company PowerChina and the French companies Alstom and Egis Rail.
