German Continental to Open New Factory in Novi Sad in Early March – Investment Worth EUR 140 Million, Jobs for 500 Workers

In early March, the German company Continental is opening a new factory of automotive electronics in Novi Sad, worth EUR 140 million, where more than 500 workers will be employed, the Government of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina announced after the meeting of the government’s president, Igor Mirovic, and the general manager of Continental Automotive for Serbia, Sasha Cioringa.

– The expansion of the operations of Continental in our country is a confirmation of trust and the good business environment that our state has created, thereby becoming a leader in Southeast Europe thanks to its economic potentials and results – Mirovic says.

Cioringa stated that he was proud that the excellent results of the Center for Research and Development in Novi Sad had attracted the great investment and added that it was an indicator that Serbia is a country where knowledge and science are dominant.

Continental Group was founded in 1871 in Germany and is one of the world leaders in the automotive industry.

The meeting was attended by the plant manager of Continental in Novi Sad, Margineanu Lucian.
