(Marko Cadez) The president of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, Marko Cadez, has made an appeal, on behalf of the majority of companies in Serbia, to the members of the Crisis Response Team to remove the restrictions on the operations of the majority of outlets, the chamber announced.

– I am asking all the medical doctors from the Crisis Response Team to reconsider the decision on the shortening of the working hours and the closing of sales outlets over the next two weekends ahead of the New Year’s holidays, because, trust me, the Serbian economy cannot afford it – Cadez said.

He pointed out that the majority of Serbian companies makes the greatest income in December.

– The upcoming days, especially the upcoming two weekends are crucial, because certain companies in retail are already reporting sale drops of 50% to as much as 80%. If companies are left without the planned income ahead of the New Year’s holidays, it will certainly reflect on the reduction of the number of employees and on giving up on the investments planned for 2021 – Cadez emphasized.
