First Public Garage in Kragujevac Built in Line with Latest Environmental Standards Opens

More than a year after the foundation stone was laid down, the construction of the first aboveground multistory block garage in Kragujevac, built in line with the latest environmental standards, has been finished. The construction of this kind of facility will considerably solve the problem of parking in the central city core and raise the level of parking service, as announced on the website of the PUE Sumadija Kragujevac.

This is an energy efficient facility in which the most modern technological solutions in the segment of control and charging for the parking are implemented. This multistory garage has a planned capacity of 200 parking spaces and provides energy efficient solutions. In addition to the standard parking spaces, it also has spots for the charging of electrical cars and solar panels which produce electrical energy required for the garage to operate.

The parking is organized by semi-levels, with each level featuring a central route around which the parking spaces are positioned, as well as the accompanying functions. Each two levels are connected by two double platforms, whereby a one-way movement through all the levels of the garage is ensured.

The construction works were carried out by the consortium of Strabag d.o.o. Beograd and Strabag ad Austria. The construction of the garage was financed by the PUE Sumadija Kragujevac with the proceeds from the long-term investment loan of RSD 359,643,293.00.
