Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said that there were no delays in the realization of the Washington Agreement and that an agreement on financial support to SMEs of around USD 1.1 billion would be signed with the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) by the end of January.

Mali told Tanjug that the guarantee scheme of the DFC crediting was expected to become active in the spring.

– The total value of the loan guarantee scheme and direct support to SMEs in Serbia is around 1 to 1.1 billion dollars – the finance minister said.

They are in constant contact with the DFC, Mali adds.

– It is more up to them than us that the process is late a bit, because of the U.S. elections, but the financing structure, that is, the guarantee schemes secured by the DFC, are already prepared.
