Tender for General Project for Construction of Vozd Karadjordje Highway Opened – Procurement Worth RSD 200 Million

The PE Corridors of Serbia has opened the public procurement procedure for the preparation of the General Project with a preliminary feasibility study for the construction of first-grade state highway Vozd Karadjordje. The new road should connect the Belgrade municipalities of Sopot, Lazarevac and Mladenovac with eastern Serbia, and the estimated value of the preparation of the project documentation is RSD 200 million without the VAT.

The goals of the construction of the new road, according to the tendering documentation, are to increase the competitiveness of agriculture, to connect agriculture with tourism and hospitality, to renew and valorize traditional winemaking regions and economic development.

The road will be 220 kilometers long, and the construction will be divided into five section. The new route will pass through the territories of the municipalities of Lazarevac, Sopot, Mladenovac, Arandjelovac, Topola, Raca, Lapovo, Velika Plana, Svilajnac, Despotovac and Bor. The new road will be designed for speeds of 130 and 100 km/h.

The General Project and the preliminary feasibility study should determine the optimal corridor and define the route.

Bids may be submitted by January 12, 2021.
