Spanair launched flights between Belgrade and Barcelona - ticket with all taxes from 149.55 EUR


Spanish airliner Spanair launched regular flights between Belgrade and Barcelona yesterday (April 15, 2010). Spanair's CEO Feran Soriano came on the first flight to Belgrade and said to the press that he was satisfied with the fact that a Spanish airliner had launched flights between Serbia and Spain after 18-year break.
Spanair's representatives expressed the satisfaction with previous number of passengers on the flights and said that 67% of seats on Belgrade-Barcelona flights were occupied. As it was announced, Spanair will be flying on that route three times a week - on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
- The promotional prices of tickets for the flights between Belgrade and Barcelona start from 75 EUR, exclusive of taxes - it is stated on Spanair's website. For example, the ticket for the flight from Belgrade on Saturday, June 12, and the return flight from Barcelona on Thursday, June 17, currently costs 149.55 EUR, all taxes included. Flying tickets can be bought in travel agencies in Serbia or on the company's website.
The Spanish airliner announced that it would launch two flights a week from Belgrade to Madrid on May 28 - on Friday and Sunday.
Spanair has the fleet of 45 airplanes. It transported about 8m passengers and registered income of 670m EUR in 2009. This airliner has 3,160 employees and it is a member of Star Alliance led by German Lufthansa.
