Canadian Company Magna Seating to Open Factory in Aleksinac – Employment of 1,000 Workers Planned

The Canadian company Magna Seating is to build a car seat component factory in Aleksinac. The city assembly adopted the decision on the signing of the agreement on the alienation of publicly owned building land through direct bidding, without the obligation of paying a fee, as announced on the municipality's website.

In early June, Magna launched production activities in a rented hall in Aleksinac, and it was announced at the time that the second phase of the investment entailed the construction of a new, larger hall, where the entire production would be moved and where around 1,000 people would be employed.

Let us remind that the Canadian company Magna Seating produces car seat covers for well known car brands and operates in 18 European countries. They have been operating in Serbia for six years now, and they also have a facility in Odzaci.
