The Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali said today that the high-delegation of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) would be arriving on Monday and begin putting the agreement, signed on September 4 in Washington, into practice.

In an interview with Prva TV, Mali said that that the high-delegation of DFC led by its CEO Adam Boehler would stay four days in Serbia in order to get familiar with all the circumstances.

Mali said that DFC was important for its citizens and the development of Serbian economy because DFC will take part in financing projects from various sectors. From its Belgrade office DFC would also cover its operations in the entire region.

– For citizens, that entails not only new investments, better infrastructure but new jobs, bigger budget and funds for bigger salaries and pensions as well, Mali said and recalled that Serbia was facing bankruptcy in 2012 and 2013, and now the largest development agency is coming to the country,

Mali said that DFC puts projects first.

– They were pleased with what they saw and heard about Serbia's macroeconomic stability and our reaction to coronavirus crisis since the country preserved jobs and maintained production capacity, Mali said.
