Delta Holding starts construction of first Tempo in Bulgaria in late March

Construction of Tempo hyper market in the capital city of Bulgaria will start at the end of March. The facility, which will occupy the surface of 30,000 square meters, is planned to be finished prior to mid-November.
Delta Holding bought the majority package of stocks of Bulgarian market chain Piccadilly in September 2007 and the remaining 15% of stocks in September 2009. Two days ago, the first Piccadilly supermarket was opened in Sofia and the management of Piccadilly announced that Delta would invest 80m EUR in 2010 in expansion of Piccadilly's retail network and opening of the first hyper market Tempo.
According to the announcement by Piccadilly's CEO Aleksandar Čamparavić, the construction will start on March 23rd when he and Bulgarian Prime Minister Bojko Borisov will lay the foundation stone for construction of the first Tempo facility in Bulgaria.
- Tempo will be built in an exceptional location that is situated 1,300 meters away from the City Assembly, that is, in the very center of Sofia - says Čamparević.
According to his words, construction of the new facility will cost about 15m EUR. It will be open 24 hours a day and the customers will be able to choose between more than 60,000 articles at 18,000 square meters.
