Delta opened new supermarket in Sofia worth 3.5m EUR


Delta's company Piccadilly opened the biggest retail facility within its retail network in Sofia today (March 16, 2010), in which 3.5m EUR were invested.
The CEO of Piccadilly, Aleksandar Čamparević, said at the opening ceremony that the new supermarket occupied the surface of 4,600 square meters and that its range included 25,000 products.
The supermarket was opened by Aleksandar Crkvenjakov, the Ambassador of Serbia to Sofia.
The opening ceremony was attended by the President of Delta Holding, Miroslav Mišković, and the representatives of certain Serbian companies whose products can be bought in Bulgaria.
Delta Holding bought the majority package of stocks of Bulgarian market chain Piccadilly in September 2007 and it has, so far, invested total of 140m EUR in Bulgaria, including the investment in takeover of remaining 15% of stocks in 2009.
