The first shipment of first-class apples Ajdared has been dispatched from the household of the Jovanović family, in Banjica near Čačak, and it is on its way to Nigeria. The shipment includes 22 tons of apples whose price is 25 eurocents per kilo, and it will take 20 days for these apples packed in freeze-containers similar to cold storage chambers to reach Africa from the port of Rijeka.

- I am satisfied with such price because it was much lower before. The price for Russia was as low as 17 RSD. The price is good, but the manufacturers still don't find it satisfying - said Vuk Jovanović from Banjica.

The Jovanović family started growing fruits in 1965. Today this family has three hectares of land planted with apples, pears and nectarines. Over the last few years, apples from the Jovanović family's orchards have been exported to Russia.
