Water Processing Plants to be Built in All Four Places in Municipality of Zabalj

The president of the Municipality of Zabalj, Cedomir Bozic, has visited the water pumping station in Curug. On that occasion, Bozic pointed out that the works on the reconstruction of the water network in this place were in progress and that the plan was for the entire water network in all four populated places to be fully reconstructed over the next two years.

– What the Municipality of Zabalj plans for the next year, pertaining to water supply, is the construction of water processing factories. Of course, this is the kind of project that can't be expected to be finished within a single calendar year, so the realization of it is planned in the next three years – Bozic said, as announced on the municipality's website.

– For the next year, we are planning substantial investments in water supply and the quality of drinking water. The project of the construction of water factories will be one of the biggest, most demanding and most important projects in the municipality. By building the water processing facilities, we will prevent losses and get a reliable, safe and quality water supply – Bozic said and added that, when the job is done, the Municipality of Zabalj would be much more stable when it comes to water supply.

Radovan Plackic, the director of the PUE Vodovod Zabalj, said that the studies for the water factories in all populated places in the Municipality of Zabalj had been done and that the project-technical documentation was being prepared at the moment. As Plackic points out, he expects the first results to be visible in the spring.
