With the financial support of funds IPA 2007 and 2008, the EU Delegation Programme in Republic of Serbia has announced the invitation for draft projects for development of sustainable dialogue between the civil society of Serbia and the countries members of EU, as well as regional social-economic development through public calls for submission of draft projects "Strengthening Dialogue between Civil Society Organizations of Serbia and EU" and "Regional Social-Economic Development Programme (RSEDP2)".

- The priority of the first open competition is the provision of support to civil sector. The applicants can be all civil organizations, NGOs, trade unions, cultural and art institutions... I would like to point to the possibility that some of the institutions from this sector, which are now financed from the budget, use this opportunity and get part of the funds from EU. The amount of funds for this fund is 3.5m EUR, the project can be worth between 50,000 and 150,000 EUR, the deadline for submission of draft projects is March 1st, while the downpayment is 10% - said Predrag Novikov, the Head of European Affairs Office of the Executive Council of Vojvodina.

As he explained, the other fund is intended for employment, and the applications will be received from the municipalities and their local and regional partners.

- This time, as far as AP Vojvodina is concerned, the open competition is open for the municipalities from Banat. The values of projects range between 300,000 and 500,000 EUR, it is necessary that minimum 3 municipalities unite and create the programme that will help creation of new jobs on their territories. The deadline for submission is March 8th. I believe that it is very important that our province use this opportunity at the time of economic challenges and support creation of new jobs as a form of economic development of our country - he explained.
