The new Ostruznica bridge on the Sava, a part of the Belgrade bypass route, will be completed in May, and the construction of the entire bypass route to Bubanj Potok will be completed in slightly under two years, announced the Deputy Prime Minister and Construction Minister of Serbia, Zorana Mihajlovic.

Together with the Ambassador of China to Serbia, Chen Bo, she visited the works on the construction of the new Bubanj Potok exchange, which is a part of the section of the Belgrade bypass route between the bridge on the Sava, near Ostruznica, and Bubanj Potok, and which is 20.4 kilometers long.

On this section, whose construction costs EUR 207 million, the main contractor is Power China Construction Corporation, and the subcontractors are Azvirt from Azerbaijan and local companies.

– As for the bypass route, there have been problems with the project-technical documentation and some other unresolved issues regarding the expropriation, but those are all technical things, which we will be able to solve as usual – Mihajlovic said.

With the completion of this section, the 47-km highway from Batajnica to Bubanj Potok will be finished.
