First Registry of Tourism in operation in January

- The first Registry of Tourism in Serbia will be put in operation in January 2010. It will be an electronic database with the information on all tourist resources in Serbia - said Zvonko Obradović, the CEO of the Business Registers Agency.

He told "Beta" that the Registry of Tourism would comprise 17 different registers from the field of tourism, including the registry of tourist agencies, the registry of all catering capacities in the country, tourist guides, accommodation capacities, as well as the registry of tourist destinations.

As he pointed out, the Registry will make it possible for the government organs and tourism workers to gain insight into the whole potential of the branch, while the public availability of the registry will increase the legal safety of both tourist companies and users of services.
