KRAVČENKO: NIS interested in investments in RS

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska (RS), Milorad Dodik, and the CEO of "Petroleum Industry of Serbia" (NIS), Kiril Kravčenko, spoke yesterday (November 26, 2009) in Banjaluka about the possibilities of NIS's investments in the Republic of Srpska.
According to the announcement by the PR Bureau of the Government of RS, Kravčenko expressed the interest in NIS's investment in the energy sector in RS, while the Government of RS showed readiness to provide all the necessary help to NIS in possible business activities of Serbian-Russian company in RS.
The two sides agreed to take in consideration all the possibilities for making that cooperation concrete in the future period.
The meeting between the officials of NIS and the Government of RS was attended by Slobodan Puhalac, the Minister of Industry, Energy and Development of RS.
The majority owner of NIS is Russian national company "Gazpromneft", which owns 51% of the company, while the remaining 49% of stocks of NIS are in the possession of the Government of Serbia.
