Although it was expected for manual and service jobs to be the most affected by automation, an analysis by the Brookings Institution has shown that office jobs will not be immune to the upcoming changes either, the AFA portal writes.

When it comes to automation, the jobs believed to be the first ones to be replaced by machines were low-paid manual jobs and jobs of workers in the service sector, usually people with lower education, as the Institute announced earlier this year.

However, the latest studies show that well paid professionals will be affected as well and that they may even be the most affected by AI.

This modified model is based on the research technique of an economics student from Stanford, Michael Webb, who built his own algorithm for comparing the language in AI patents with the specific words describing jobs.

The jobs of marketing experts, sales managers, programmers and personal finance advisers are the jobs to be most affected by AI.

University graduates are seven times more exposed to the influence of AI than those with high school diplomas.
