Chamber of Commerce of Serbia started issuing electronic certificates - greater efficiency and competitiveness and smaller expenditures


The Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (PKS) issued 152 electronic certificates to entrepreneurs today (November 11, 2009). These certificates enable simpler and more efficient operations.
The President of PKS, Miloš Bugarin, said that the companies would be able to register and unregister their employees and submit tax applications electronically.
- The certificate can be used for majority of transactions in electric operations and trade, and it will contribute to improvement of efficiency and competitiveness and reduction of expenditures - said Bugarin.
As he explained, that will reduce administrative barriers, make the communication with government organs easier, and eradicate corruption.
The Minister of Telecommunications and IT Society, Jasna Matić, said that the electronic certificate would make the procedures and mutual transactions with the Government of Serbia easier for entrepreneurs.
She reminded that the Law on Electronic Document had been adopted and that it had made paper and electronic document equal, while sublegal acts would be finished prior to end of year 2009.
- We are working on the changes in the provision on office operations and Law on Administrative Procedure, which should prescribe all the procedures in administrative activities involving electronic documents - said Jasna Matić.
The Minister said that the electronic portal of the Government of Serbia would be soon in use and serve as an electronic window for all organs and institutions to offer their electronic services to citizens and economy.
The Minister of Trade and Services, Slobodan Milosavljević, said that the Ministry of Trade would cooperate with the Chamber, and he expressed the expectation that, in addition the economy and the Government, the citizens would soon be able to use the advantages of the electronic certificate as well.
