Ambassador of Italy in Belgrade, Antonio Zanardi Landi, and Minister of Economy, Predrag Bubalo, paid a visit to Quarry Kijevo in Rakovica. Privatization of that quarry was carried out in 2002 and it was one of the most successful. The production is tripled.

Quarry Kijevo was bought on the auction in July 2002. Adige Bitumi invested about 5 million EUR in Kijevo. Adige Bitumi plans to open another 2 quarries in Serbia, one limestone quarry and the other quarry of volcanic (eruptive) material. These projects are still in the designing phase. Adige Bitumi won international tender for construction of Vladimirovci - Vršac road, the start of which is expected already in March 2005.

By the way, Adige Bitumi realized annual turnover of about 80 million EUR, whereas, in 2004, this company produced 1.5 tons of aggregate. Quarry Kijevo produced 500,000 tons of stone in 2004. www.adigebitumiimpresa.com
