Construction of industrial park in Zmic Zone near Paracin to start

The Municipality of Paracin has secured funds for the construction of an industrial park in the Zmic Zone for the Swedish company Rimaster, which will produce electrical wiring systems for special vehicles and heavy construction machines at the industrial zone in Paracin.

– The construction of the industrial park was the condition for the investment of the Swedish Rimaster to be realized in the municipality of Paracin. The facility is under construction, the municipality has provided the funds for it, and the industrial park will be completed next spring – it is said on the municipality’s website. At the tendering procedure, companies Grading from Paracin (project leader) and Technosector from Kragujevac were selected as contractors.

Rimaster already operates in Paracin, employing around a hundred workers. According to announcement, in the upcoming period, in several phases, it will employ up to a thousand people.

The construction of several other business-production facilities is in progress at the Industrial Zone Zmic, another six investors are waiting for building permits, and another two buyers are waiting for the land in blocks already equipped with infrastructure to be re-parceled.

– At the moment, the municipality of Paracin has the infrastructure built for the new block of parcels, and new capacities regarding electrical energy will be needed in the future – it is said on the municipality’s website.
