The Government of Serbia passed the Regulation in mid-October on elaboration of the Spatial plan for the territory of infrastructure corridor Niš – Bulgarian border, which defines the bases for organization, use and protection of the territory of the infrastructure corridor on the parts of the territories of the city of Niš and the municipalities of Bela Palanka, Pirot and Dimitrovgrad.

The Spatial plan encompasses particularly the corridors of the main-route infrastructure systems, especially highway E-80, railway E-70 for high-speed trains, gas pipelines, main optical cables, the water currents of the Nišava, as well as the corridors of alternative and regional infrastructure systems, such as alternative roads, regional roads and regional rails.

The territory on which the Spatial plan is focused occupies the surface of about 998.41 square meters, and it is about 92 km long.
