System introduced for conjoint reception of applications for registration of companies


The Business Registry Agency (BRA) of Serbia ensured conjoining of all procedures for reception of registration applications starting from today (October 14, 2009) and announced commencement of work of new registries.
The conjoined reception of applications in the new window hall in BRA's headquarters in Belgrade and in another 13 offices all around Serbia has been enabled through introduction of new information system, the establishment of which was backed by the Government of Republic of Korea with the donation of 3.2m USD.
The CEO of BRA, Zvonko Obradović, said at the celebration occassioned by the introduction of new information system that the IT improvement would make introduction of new registries easier.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Mlađan Dinkić, said that BRA was the example of how the reform of administrative procedures, called "Guillotine of Regulations", can be efficiently applied in practice.
He announced that, starting January 1st, 2010, all financial reports would be delivered to one instead of three addresses, which would save the economy 300m RSD on annual basis.
According to Dinkić, it has been agreed that all unnecessary procedures should be abolished.
Five days after the submission of the unique registration application to BRA, the applicant gets the decision on registration and tax identification number, as well as applications for pension and medical funds.
- So far, people in BRA have been running the registries of commercial organizations and entrepreneurs, as well as registries of financial leasing and pledge law, while, starting today, the registry of public media will also be run by BRA - Obradović confirmed.
BRA will soon introduce the registry of regional development measures and stimuli, while the tourism registry will be introduced next year. Prior to end of year 2010, people in BRA expect introduction of the registries of foundations and factoring, while the registry of chambers should be put in operation in 2011.
