Exim Bank asked to finance refurbishment of roads in Sandžak


- Serbia submitted an appeal to Turkish Exim Bank yesterday (October 6th, 2009) for financing of refurbishment of two regional roads in Sandžak, for which 30m USD are needed - the Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia, Mlađan Dinkić, said in Istanbul.
He spoke to the CEO of Turkish Exim Bank, Ahmet Kilicoglu, about financing of refurbishment of the roads that connect Novi Pazar with Tutin and Sjenica - it is stated in the announcement of the Ministry of Economy of Serbia.
Dinkić, who is also the Minister of Economy of Serbia, said that they had agreed that Exim Bank would provide 85% of the funds for reconstruction of the two junctions, while Serbia would participate with 15%.
The project will also include refurbishment of two bridges.
Main route Novi Pazar - Sjenica connects the Zlatibor region with the Raška region, in which total of 600,000 people are living, and it also represents the most popular connection with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
